Mop Storage Moisture Prevention — “Hanging + Newspaper Wrapping” to Prevent Mold Spots

Technique:

Hang the mop in a well-ventilated area of the bathroom (away from the shower zone), with the mop head facing downward (to prevent water from flowing back into the handle).

Wrap the mop head in old newspaper (highly absorbent). Replace the newspaper daily to accelerate drying and reduce mold growth, especially effective during rainy seasons.

Tip: 

Place the mop on the balcony for 1 hour of direct sunlight weekly. UV rays sterilize and extend the mop head's lifespan.
