Pet Urine Stain Floor Cleaning — “Blot Dry + White Vinegar Breakdown” for Odor Removal Without Residue
Pain Point:
Pet urine seeps into tile grout/wood flooring, leaving lingering urine odor even after mopping, with repeated cleaning proving ineffective.
Technique:
1. First, press dry paper towels onto the urine spot to absorb surface moisture (the drier the better, preventing deeper penetration).
Dip the mop head into a solution of “warm water + 2 tablespoons white vinegar” (white vinegar neutralizes urine alkalinity and eliminates odors). Gently scrub the stain area 3 times, then let it sit for 5 minutes to allow the vinegar to fully work.
Rinse the mop head with clean water, then mop the stained area once more with clean water. Finally, open windows for ventilation; the odor will dissipate as moisture evaporates.
Tip:
For wood floors, control the mop head's moisture level (no dripping water) to prevent liquid from seeping into the floor and causing mold.
