Quickly Deodorize Mop Heads — Add “Baking Soda + Sunlight” After Washing to Eliminate Musty Odors
Pain Point:
Mop heads aren't fully dry after washing, leading to musty odors next time you use them—especially in bathrooms where bacteria thrive.
Solution:
After mopping, immediately rinse the mop head with clean water (microfiber heads are machine-washable at ≤60°C). Squeeze out excess water, then sprinkle 1 tablespoon of baking soda over the mop head (baking soda absorbs odors).
Hang it in a well-ventilated, direct sunlight area for 2 hours (UV light kills bacteria), or tumble dry on low heat (≤40°C). Next use will be odor-free and dry.
Tip:
Avoid stacking wet mop heads in corners, as this accelerates mold growth. Clean and air-dry promptly after each use.
